Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Makee — the web app at app.makee.app and our mobile apps ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What Makee is

Makee helps you create social media content: you describe a post (or pick an idea), and the Service generates editable designs you can download and publish. Content is generated with the help of AI and our template library.

Your account

• You need an account (email sign-in) to generate content. Keep access to your email secure — it's how you sign in.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete account). Deletion is permanent.

Your content

• You own what you make. Posts, stories and carousels you create with Makee are yours. You can use them commercially — for your brand or your clients — with no attribution required.
• You're responsible for the content you create and publish, including photos you add and any claims (prices, discounts, dates) in your posts.
• Don't use the Service to create content that is unlawful, deceptive, infringing on others' rights, or harmful.

AI-generated content

Generated text is produced by AI and may occasionally be inaccurate or imperfect. Review your posts before publishing — especially facts like prices, dates and discounts. The Service is provided to assist your work, not to replace your judgement.

Fair use

Generation is subject to fair-use limits (currently a daily cap per account) to keep the Service fast and affordable for everyone. We may adjust limits over time. Don't attempt to circumvent limits, abuse the API, resell access, or use automation to bulk-generate content.

Paid features

The Service is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, their terms (pricing, billing, cancellation) will be shown at purchase and will supplement these terms. Purchases made through the App Store are also subject to Apple's standard EULA and billing terms.

Our rights

• The Makee name, design, template library and software are ours and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don't grant you rights to them beyond using the Service.
• We may update, change or discontinue features as the product evolves.
• We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the Service.

Disclaimer & liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $10 if you paid nothing).

How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept them.
