Privacy Policy

Makee ("we", "us") is a tool that helps you create social media content for your brand. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the Makee app (app.makee.app and our mobile apps) and what we do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the product, we don't show ads, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

• Email address. Used to create your account and sign you in (we email you a one-time code). It's our only required piece of personal information.
• Content you create. Your prompts, generated and edited post texts, template choices, saved ideas, brand profile (if you fill it in), and small preview thumbnails of your finished posts. This is stored so your work syncs across your devices.
• Usage analytics. Basic product events (e.g. "app opened", "post downloaded", which template was used) tied to your account. We use this to understand which features and templates work and which don't.
• Feedback. If you send feedback through the app, we store the message along with basic context (screen, device type, language).

What we don't collect

• Your photos stay on your device. Photos you add to templates are processed entirely in your browser/app. Full-resolution photos are never uploaded to our servers. Only small preview thumbnails of finished posts (roughly 124×220 px) are stored for your history.
• No advertising identifiers, no cross-app tracking, no location data, no contacts.

How generation works

When you generate a post, the text of your prompt (and brand profile, if set) is sent to OpenAI through our server to produce the content. Prompts are processed to generate your post and are subject to OpenAI's API data policy (API data is not used to train their models). Your photos are never sent to OpenAI.

Where your data lives

• Supabase — account and synced content (database hosting).
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Resend — delivers sign-in code emails.
• OpenAI — processes prompt text during generation, as described above.

These providers process data on our behalf and don't use it for their own purposes (except as described in their respective policies).

How long we keep it

Your data is kept while your account exists. Content you delete in the app is deleted from our servers as well.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account at any time directly in the app: Account → Delete account. This immediately and irreversibly removes your account, posts, ideas, history, analytics events and feedback from our servers. No email or support request needed.

Your rights

You can access your content in the app at any time, and delete it (individually or entirely, via account deletion). If you have any question about your data — or want a copy of it — email us and we'll help.

Children

Makee is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
